Interview Section With Jacquel
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
If I could collaborate with any artist it would be Drake. I don't want this choice to sound to cliche, but I grew up listening to Drake and he's one of the reasons why I wanted to make music. Drake himself is inspiring from his music, to his impact upon millions of people around the world, and even the lifestyle he lives today is inspiring.
What differentiates you from the next “wannabe” rapper?
I think what makes me different are the beats that I choose from and my versatility of my flow/style. Plus, to no offense toward any rapper, I'm not a clone of any artist. I try my best to be as original as possible or at least be me.
How do you plan to breakthrough?
I plan to breakthrough by consistently posting on social media platforms, and by putting myself out there in public as well. Also, by releasing great music consistently as well.
Where do you think the future of the music industry lies?
I think that the future of the music industry is going to be a bright one. I see all of these new artist who experiment with their beat selections and their creativity. I'm just happy to be apart of the community.
Difficulties of the come up?
Right now as in difficulties, I mean there's obviously getting the attention of real people on the internet and not bots. But I think I'm doing pretty well for the beginning.
